What is the Safer Nottinghamshire Board?
The Safer Nottinghamshire Board (SNB) is made up of several agencies
in Nottinghamshire – Nottinghamshire County Council, Nottingham Police,
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, district and borough councils,
NHS, Probation and the voluntary sector.
What does it do?
The SNB focuses on crime prevention and community safety. It is
designed to make sure that agencies across the county share good
practice and work together on countywide community safety activities.
This will achieve two things: strengthen communications between
agencies and create stronger campaigns.
The SNB intends to run a number of campaigns each year that are
specifically targeted at reducing crime levels and reducing the
perception of crime in the community.
The first of these campaigns will be burglary prevention under the banner "REMEMBER!", due to run mid June 2009.
